Floral Warmth by Duophonix Floral Warmth by Duophonix
Its been a while since my last proper 3d submission, this is mainly because ive been learning a whole new renderer.

This image wasnt rendered with VRAY like all my other designs, this one is using mental ray.

Made yet again in 3ds max 9.

I think my interiors have always seemed a bit cold, and they are always lit from the sunlight. I wanted to create a warmer and more atmospheric scene so ive used 2 internal lights instead.

I decided to go for a more feminine look this time also. In photoshop, i could see that this scene looks good in other shades other than green, i may modify it a re-render it with alternate colour schemes, along with any amendments that people may pick up on.

Comments please :-)

ill also answer any questions.

Hi
I love the look of this room in your picture, looks very tranquil and relaxing. This is something I am trying to create for my bedroom in my new house.
Any ideas where I might buy that 3 panel canvas? I have searched high and low for exactly that, and cannot find it anywhere.

Thanks

Katie

nice scene looks really good especially the bed, my only criticism of it is that one of the canvases is blank, i can see the effect you were going for with them but realisticly would you put a blank canvas on a wall? if there was a tiny bit of any think on the blank one it would fix this.

np :D and theres nothing wrong with the image itself it suits the room design. maybe just work the image onto the 3rd canvas too if u can. even if its a tiny slither. it would imrove the reality of it massivly

Damn, this is amazing, so realistic.
Hey well, I am an animator, I use flash8 and stuff. I also draw realistic stuff and I was wondering if you could tell me... what's the difference between rendering in v-ray and all those rays? or WHAT are those rays.. I just don't get it.. I can do mountains in 3ds max.. and shurikines and a wine glass.. but that is about it. Plus I forgot how to do all that... cus I did that in August.. I also did a house but in August.

with 3ds max, there are many ways to render the final image or animation. the most common renderers are: scanline (comes with 3ds max and is default - not very realistic and only does limited ray tracing), Mental ray (does very realistic ray tracing and global illumination and many other cool rendering techniques to improve realism, also comes with 3ds max), vray (similar to mental ray but works in slightly different ways. There is some debate over which is better - vray or mental ray, having used both i would say mental ray is better)

Hope this clears some of it up for you :-)

No real bad question, but when would it be possible to have this done for real? ;P I am really enjoying the whole feel to it. The wood seems warm and inviting, if this room ever materializes, I'll be sure to get one meself. :) Great work and yes, I did click yer add-cast. ;)
